How do you balance school and work at the same time without getting stressed

For me, the key is staying organized and making a plan each week. When I know what's coming, there are fewer surprises and those surprises typically add stress. At the start of the week, list everything you need to get done, then map out a plan. I try to tackle the hardest or most daunting tasks early. It's much less stressful to finish those sooner than to reach Friday afternoon with something that you've been putting off. It also helps to remember that stress is normal. You won't always be able to avoid it completely but staying prepared and organized can make it easier to manage.

My biggest advice for balancing school and work without getting too stressed is to plan ahead and manage your time well. I highly recommend doing a weekly check-in to see what activities, assignments, and responsibilities you have each day so you can plan your time accordingly. When I was in high school and college, I paid close attention to assignments that were given in advance and tried to complete them earlier rather than later. That helped free up time later in the week, so I wasn’t stressed about a big exam, project, paper, or assignment all at once. On days when I had work after school, I would wake up early on the weekends and get as much homework and studying done as possible. That way, I had less schoolwork to worry about during the week after work. I still use the same approach now at work—I look at my calendar, keep major deadlines in mind, and budget my time throughout the week so everything gets done on time. Just as importantly, make time for hobbies and hanging out with friends, because that really helps you de-stress. No matter how busy life gets, always carve out time for yourself. Staying organized is the key.
