Steven’s Answer
Playing sports is a great way to make friends, stay fit, and be part of a team. But if sports aren't your thing, that's perfectly okay! Doing activities outside of school is important because it shows you're well-rounded and helps you develop leadership skills. Sports might not be essential for everyone, but it's good to get involved in any activities you enjoy beyond your regular schoolwork.

Hi Emanuel! I had the privilege of playing team sports from 3rd grade through college; spanning middle school, travel leagues, high school, and collegiate levels. High school sports were especially meaningful because they helped me build a great friend group and taught me how to work effectively with others. The experience instilled valuable life lessons like developing a strong work ethic, improving communication skills, and learning team-building principles. Most importantly, high school sports gave me lifelong friendships. Those connections have been instrumental in my success and will continue to be throughout my life.

Sports and extracurricular activities are vey important. They allow you to make new friends, interact with others about a mutual like, and do all the things that Smitha said. Also, colleges like these things as they show a well rounded person, especially if you show leadership.
