In simple terms, a mental health counselor is a trained professional who helps people navigate life’s emotional, mental, and personal challenges like stress, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, or major life changes.
Basically it helps you to understand yourself in better way and helps us to understand our emotions
Through regular talk therapy sessions, they create a safe, supportive space for individuals or groups to talk through what they’re feeling, understand why, and learn healthy coping skills to feel better and thrive. Counselors typically earn a master's degree in counseling and can work in schools, community clinics, hospitals, or private practices.
It’s truly a rewarding career centered around listening, empathy, and guiding people toward positive change!

A Mental Health Counselor is a licensed professional (often an LPC in Wisconsin) who works with individuals, teens, and families to help them navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, and everyday life stress.
They provide talk therapy, teach healthy coping mechanisms, and support clients through difficult transitions in settings like community clinics, schools, hospitals, or private practice.
To get there, counselors typically earn a bachelor's degree followed by a master’s in clinical mental health counseling, complete supervised clinical hours, and pass a state licensing exam.
It’s an incredibly rewarding career if you’re empathetic, enjoy listening, and want to make a direct positive difference in people's lives. Good luck with your project!
