By 2030, AI will likely be part of many careers, so your goal shouldn't be to compete with AI at everything. Instead, learn how to use AI effectively while developing skills that help you think critically, solve problems, and work well with people.

Hard skills worth learning:

1. AI and digital literacy - Learn how AI tools work, how to write effective prompts, how to check AI-generated information, and how to use AI responsibly. Understanding its limitations is just as important as knowing how to use it.

2. Data analysis - Start with Excel or Google Sheets, then learn basic statistics and data visualization. These skills are useful in business, science, marketing, finance, and many other fields.

3. Communication and writing tools - Learn to create clear presentations, professional documents, reports, and visual content.

Soft skills worth developing:

1. Critical thinking - Learn to question information, recognize bias, compare sources, and make decisions based on evidence instead of accepting everything AI tells you.

2. Communication - Practice explaining ideas clearly, writing well, speaking confidently, listening, and adapting your message to different people.

3. Adaptability and learning how to learn - Technology will change, so practice learning unfamiliar subjects, accepting feedback, and adjusting when something doesn't work.
