Hi Essence, my career is very important to me because I want to make a difference with what I do. I don't want a job where I just punch and punch out without thinking about what I'm doing. To me, you are the ambassador of your own career. The only person that is going to go to bat for you every single time is you. I also want to make sure that I am able to provide for my family which is critically important to me. Your career is whatever you want it to be.  The real question is what is it that you aspire to be so that you get out of bed excited to go to work?  If you don't already know what you want to do, search online for some free aptitude tests to figure out what you are good at.  Good luck!

My Career is important to me because it is something that gives personal fufillment, however the important thing is to have balance in life and find other things in life that aren't work that give you fufillment.For example, I play piano!

I'm in phone sales for Verizon wireless. When i was about 11, i was sitting on the couch at my grandparents house, with a rather unpleasant face on. My grandfather asked me what was wrong and i said "I'm bored". He immediately snapped at me and said "you're living in the most exciting time you could have ever imagined. My father cranked the front of his car to get it to start. You have television, game systems, and the internet. You have absolutely no excuse to be bored". He was absolutely right. The fact that i get to put this amazing technology in peoples hands is wildly exciting. I find out what their interests and hobbies are and i get to help them enjoy those even more by introducing technology to them. I absolutely love my job and hope that you find just as much success and fulfillment in your future career.

Hello Essence!

My career is important to me for many reasons but my favorite reason is because it's fulfilling to me, I feel like I have a purpose. I get to be with a fantastic team directly, and my organization is wonderful-- despite recent hardships. The work-life balance of my career is wonderful as well, so I get to spend time with my family.

There are many different careers to choose from, do your research and seek what is important to you.
