Hi! While I am not in Bengaluru or film school, I have a heavy amount of experience in filmmaking and digital media. From my experience, here are two general skills that are important for any person pursuing filmmaking.
1. Story Crafting. No matter what kind of filmmaking you're in, you should always know how to craft a beautiful story. Whether it's advertising or filmmaking, human beings always resonate with stories and life lessons. Knowing how to tell the story with whatever you're capturing helps you stand out.
2. Production. You should always know how to work a camera, different lighting methods, and how to capture beautiful audio so everything can come together in editing. You don't need perfect equipment, but you should have an understanding of the production process.
I hope you find classes that help you get better at these!
