I’m a licensed private pilot. Many years ago I wanted to become a military pilot followed by a civilian commercial pilot. So, I started taking a few private flying lessons at my own expense and eventually got my private license. In that training process I realized I loved flying small aircraft for fun, but doubted I would like flying a large aircraft for a living. Furthermore, I went through the military flight physical and was disqualified on the basis that I wore corrective glasses. I would encourage you to take a private flying lesson and see if you like it.
