Hello Alexander, Barcelona are a big team and it is understandable that you want to go to spain to join them however I do not think it is wise to up and leave your country without Barcelona having invited you. I do admire your courage and willingness to go the extra mile to join one of the biggest soccer teams in the world. There are lot of people who wish to join Barca even adults and it will take more than going to Spain to get in their set up. To answer you No you do not need to go to Spain to join Barcelona as this can waste your time but you can make them take notice of you while you are still in the US.
