You can obtain any accredited bachelors degree and apply to PT school. All PT schools required certain prerequisite courses, GPA, volunteer/experience hours. I would recommend going to www.apta.org and clicking on prospective students to get more background information. I personally have a Bachelors degree in exercise science and yes I felt it was a good choice for me. However you need to find a degree that interests you and most importantly you can get a job with in case things do not work out getting into PT school. Best of Luck!

Physical Therapy school is usually very difficult to get into. There are many applicants and once you meet criteria the most important goal to get in is a great GPA as that is how they weed out candidates. I highly recommend speaking with school counselor to ensure you are on the right track with your prerequisites. Kinesiology seems to lead into physical therapy but I am guessing it matters what school you want to attend. I know I haven't answered your question completely, but this is what I know. Good luck - it's a great career!
