Hi Lilliana,

While I'm not familiar with anthropology, I did study abroad while in school. It is best to start researching your study abroad options as soon as you can. You want to find a location and program which are relevant to your field, as well as to start saving up and applying for scholarships/grants. It is usually recommended to study abroad the summer before your sophomore and junior years, or on winter breaks, as your last summer might be spent working on senior projects or internships which would help you get a job after graduation. Make a connection with your study abroad office as soon as possible, as the folks there can help you find scholarships and grants which you might not find otherwise.
