Why did you want to be a nurse?

#school #nurse

Thank you comment icon I want to become a nurse because I love helping people. I want to be the difference in how people see health care workers. I also want to make a change in the health of the patient. If the patients health cannot be treated, I want to be able to comfort them in their last few hours/days of life. Megan

Tequila’s Answer

Hi Jazmine,
I became a nurse for one reason, I was told that there was a lot of different specialties in nursing. I don't like staying in one place too long. I like learning new things. I like doing new things. I need variety in my career. I was in the military prior to going to nursing school. I was looking for something like that too. I found all of that in nursing.

Since I could remember, it has always been my passion to help people. I decided to become a nurse to make a difference. I wanted to care for the elderly and ensure that they kept their dignity and respect.
