Hi A'Nyah! In general you will need to go to college for four years and after that you will need to go to medical school which is another four years. Once you complete medical schools you will need to undergo training in a hospital under a plastic surgeon and this training is referred to as residency and plastic surgery residencies are generally six years long (2 years of general surgery training and 4 years of specialized plastic surgery training). Therefore, it takes about 14 years to become a plastic surgeon starting from your first year of college.
