Thank you comment icon You need to have the drive and passion to keep on pushing through the hard times, and always believe in yourself. Many people will tell you you cannot do it for a number of reasons, but you are gonna have to prove those people wrong that doubted you. That will only drive you more though knowing that you can prove the doubters wrong. You will also need a good idea that people will want to either buy or invest in your business or product. Rich

Call the Small business Administration (SBA). Ask for SCORE. These are people who are already in business who are willing to give you free advice.

I like your ambition

I agree you need to confirm the details of starting a business in your area. The Small business Administration is a great resource. Like Richard mentioned finding a mentor is an even better idea. I was lucky and my father had a small business so i had a close mentor to help me get set up. Even if you find a mentor that is in a different business that you would like to be in, that is ok as its all about getting your self set up. I wish you the best of luck.

Identify a need that is not now being met.
Write a business plan. This will help you think through the details.
Find a mentor.
