Lynn’s Answer

Building your personal brand is very important as it helps those who don't know you - get to know you. If you do not already have a Linkedln page I suggest starting with that. As you build your network on their, those who know you can endorse the skills you have which can be beneficial for employers to see. Your profile should make sure you stand out from all the rest. Make sure you use a clear professional photo for your profile and share as much information as you can about yourself. Good luck!!

Anya’s Answer

Hello, your personal brand is, essentially, how you are perceived based on your experiences, actions, achievements, and other personal attributes. One way to begin thinking about this is a personal statement. What are one or two sentences that you might use to describe what you offer? How do you set yourself apart from others? Your personal brand is something you build over time through networking, posting intelligently and with thought on social media, and how you interact in your work and personal life. While you can certainly create a public persona I suggest that you develop your personal brand as part of your career building - for example, you want people to think of you when a particular skill is needed - does someone need a doctor or want to know the best teacher at a school...you want them to say, "yes, I know someone who has a great reputation..."
