Hello,

It depends on what kind of investigation do you want. Usually investigation is related to research which happens more in the lab than the hospital. In hospital you can make observations, but you study them in the lab. You can do an MD/PHD which is the longest path. Or if you want to do sole research, PhD would be ideal

From my experience of coaching my daughter, go into medicine (doctor) if you have real passion for this field. It is a long journey and a lot of hard work and you should be prepared to put in more than 100% of effort.
