What schooling do I need to become a security guard?

A friend of mine was a security guard. He had a high school diploma and a clean criminal record. If you are interested in security I would advise you try it, but long-term the pay might not be the best. My friend actually was going to school at the same time he worked security. If you work the evening or night shifts you should be able to have time to do your homework while you get paid! Good luck!

If you do plan on school while working pick a security job that will allow you do homework.

There is a universal security certification that you have to complete to get your Security Guard. Once you complete that you already half way into getting a security guard position if not 95%.
