career selection| software |graphic | computers

im interested in the side of computers like software , coding , graphic desginig animation and etc.. please say me what to and how to do , also my parents are insisting to go to civil services(in india) please help me in this #graphic-design #career-choice

Hi Sriram

I am not sure what is available to you where you are, however for software , coding , graphic designing and animation you can do this through adobe as well as udemy which is online and can learn in your own time

If i am correct you will need a higher grade school certificate ( last year in school before you start college) to join graphic design schools in your area. You can look up local design schools in your area and see what s required for application and enrollment

Graphic designing covers everything from design to animation and photo editing which is amazing and even more so when you have a knack for it
Coding is a little different as you use command based codes in order to create a design. This is like web design, software application and developing. I find this requires more than just an aesthetic or how something is supposed to look

Both are equally exciting and in detail. I enjoyed doing both although I am much better at design than i am at coding and enjoy designing more than i do coding.

Its often very confusion which path to follow especially when your parents want a different future for you than what you envision

Hey Sriram,

First think what you are interested in if you are interested in software, learning new technology go for coding , graphic designing, animation etc, if you are interested in civil service then prepare for preliminary exams to get into civil service.
If you choose software also you can get into civil service but civil service needs dedication so decide accordingly.

Hey Sriram,
I don't know the opportunities in India when it comes to this field, but I would highly recommend looking at studying Cyber Security! The field is booming currently and there are more jobs than applicable employees, so compensation is high. I know in the USA, there are several colleges that will pay for your school if you major in that field and then work for a company they've partnered with for 2 years after graduation.

Hi. I am not familiar with India situation. If you are interested software coding, graphics, etc., you could consider to become a web developer, apps developer, etc. Both are popular nowadays. I think India government may recruit the developer on the mentioned area. You could explore their hiring opportunities.
However, you may need to obtain the required qualifications to work on the mentioned careers. As far as I know, there are many colleges in India on Information Technology. You can enter the colleges and achieve the relevant qualification first.
