Hi Macey! There are a lot of options for someone looking to work with kids in medicine. Depending on your interests, you can look into becoming a family doctor, pediatric nurse, pediatric surgeon, pediatric speech language pathologist, etc. However there is no need to decide exactly what you want to do now. If you know you're interested in medicine, you can prepare yourself by focusing on your STEM courses and you'll be able to narrow your sights on a specific job as you continue through high school, college, grad school, etc.

Hi Macey! There are lots of ways to work with children in the medical field. You can work directly with pediatric patients as a pediatrician or a specialized pediatric physician (e.g. pediatric surgeon, pediatric neurologist, pediatric oncologist). Pediatric nurses, physician assistants, and social workers also work with children in the clinical setting. Psychologists, therapists, and rehab/physical therapists can also work with children. Furthermore, researchers focused on pediatric clinical trials also have the opportunity to work with kids.
