Hey Lyndsey,
I have some friends in NC in the music domain.

Here are some schools around North Carolina (or reachable from Laurinburg) that are good for recording, music production, or audio tech:

1. Elon University: Music Production & Recording Arts program
2. Appalachian State University: BS in Music Industry Studies, Recording & Production
3. UNC Asheville: Music Technology degree (recording, live sound, production)
4. Western Carolina University: Commercial Music & Audio Production concentration
5. Guilford College + GTCC partnership: Recording Track in their Music Dept.
