On an average it takes, TWO to THREE years to become a complete dentist hygienist. But it varies with the states in the United States. When coming to South Carolina, it requires two years of education and state license. After TWO year program, graduates earn an associate degree. On the other hand, Central Piedmont Dental Assisting program which enables graduates to participate as part of the dental office team.

18 months to 2 years… it depends on where you take classes. Missouri is 18 months. Most places are 2 years
