María José’s Answer

Hi! What I always do is to think that the effort I’m putting out today will be reflected in the future.
It’s important that you prioritize your assignments, your exams or projects, but also find some free time to relax. Balance is one of the keys to success.
Also, don’t do school stuff one day before the due date, try to make them days before so you can relax and sleep well.

Hi Payton! It's so awesome to hear that you are looking for ways to improve. That's the right kind of mindset that you need to become a better student, so you're already on the right path :)

In my opinion, the most important ways you can improve are through time and patience. It not only takes time to learn it also takes time to learn HOW to learn! So be kind and patient with yourself along the way. Put in the time to study and read! Everyone learns at their own pace and everyone learns in their own way. Try to find out the ways that work best for you. Do you learn best through reading? By listening? By watching? Through art and visual aids? In your journey to improve as a student, keep in mind that there are a lot of different ways to retain information and stay organized and keep a mental or physical list of the styles that work best for you.

Rebecca, CareerVillage.org Team recommends the following next steps:

Take a quiz on your learning styles like this one: http://www.educationplanner.org/students/self-assessments/learning-styles-quiz.shtml
Read, read, read!
Keep a to do list - either on CareerVillage or in your notebook to keep track of your homework and other deadlines you have coming up

Thank you for your question. You would like to become a better student, you have the passion in learning indeed.
In fact, the learning process is benefit to yourself rather than anyone else.
Below is my suggestions :
1. Complete your assignment and projects on time
2. Do revision everyday to ensure you have good understanding on the topics covered in the class
3. Actively participate class discussion
4. Assign sufficient time to prepare assessment and examination
5. Apart from learning, you can also join the extra curricular activities
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
