Best way to FIND scholarships: The first thing I can recommend is to see what kind of scholarships and financial aid your chosen school has to offer. Also googling scholarships or checking out FAFSA is a great way to start as well.

But the best way to GET scholarships is to apply. Many students read the requirement for scholarships and think that they are way too much work or they may not qualify for whatever reason, but you never know until you try. Also, find scholarships that are geared toward you and your goals. Such as background (ethnicity/ religion/age), location (local community scholarships, etc), degree focus (award specifically for your major), and so forth. Research and take your time. Put some effort into the essays or "requirements" that come with the application. And lastly, start early. Do not wait till schools' about to start because a lot of times they take weeks to months for winners to be chosen or money to be disbursed.
