What type of jobs can I have, if I major in communications?

You have many options to choose from. With robotics, automation and simplifications done in every aspect of business, Communication is something that is not automated. With good communication skills and degree to back it up, you can look for career in fields like -
Content management , Soft Skill trainer, Communication trainer , Content management, Spokes person for company.

Having a communications degree enables you to be flexible in your career. That skill set is needed in every business in every industry. There are many jobs you can get with a Communications major, such as a business communcations role in any organization, where you would potentially write press releases and news articles to promote your company's brand, maybe you would write internal communications to notify employees about company happenings, new policies, new customers, new products, etc. Or even be responsible for writing documentation about the companies products or services. With a communications major you could also work in marketing. Marketers are typically effective communicators as they need to correspond with end-customers directly. A lot of employers are looking for people with excellent communication skills. If you are a good communicator and know how to write and speak effectively, then most other job duties can be learned. When you graduate and start looking for jobs, don't limit yourself to those that say "Communications" in the title , look more broadly at marketing, operations, customer service, etc. as you will have a key skill that is transferrable to any position.
