Any job I had in the same industry taught me great things. I knew I wanted to be in real estate and thought that I knew what. I worked in a number of jobs and realized I didn't want to do what I thought. Doing things like construction taught me things like planning, budgeting, and timelines and taught me skills that have made me affective in all my jobs.

Long story short, try different things related to what you think you want to do. The things you do and the people you meet will help you along your journey.
