What different types of lawyers are there?

What different types of lawyers are there? I am considering this job and I want to know more about it. I want to do this job because I want to make my Fanny proud of me and do something good with my life. I also want to make a decent amount of money as an adult.

Isabella: There are all sorts of lawyers. There are criminal defense lawyers who defend people accused of crimes. There are Prosecutors who work for the State or Federal Government and prosecute the criminals. There are Civil lawyers who either sue people after an accident or defend someone after an accident. Plus there are lawyers in almost every State and Federal Agency. In short, there are lawyers in all walks of life. Even several newscasters are lawyers.
Isabella, the bigger question is: What is going to make you happy? Remember you have to look at yourself everyday in the mirror and need to be proud of who you are. If you are proud of who you are I am sure your parents and family will be proud of you too!
I have been a lawyer for over 40 years and I love it. Not all lawyers like the profession - it's a tough job! I can tell from your question you would make a GREAT lawyer. However, remember, whatever you do bring your passion with you and you will be a success.
I like being a lawyer because I like helping people. Sometimes the money is good, sometimes not so good! It is not about the money it's about the feeling you get after winning a hard fought case! So go out and explore. Have fun, keep asking questions and never stop learning!!
