How do authors start their career journey after collage?
I’ve been always admiring authors and I’ve been curious how do they start their career journey as an author and how do they publish their book? And what is the most famous style of writing that attracts readers? How did they find the money to publish their own books, did they start off as an writer writing ebooks?

Most writers have different journeys! Many go on to MFA programs in Creative Writing where they hone their craft and gain credentials to teach Creative Writing at the college level. I know many poets and writers who teach, and there have been many who did that in the past. But I also know many who have other kinds of jobs that help support them. The path to publication is truly different for many people, but there is much info online about the general process. Here’s a good article: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/25/books/how-to-get-published.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare
As far as style goes, it is best to read books that are and/or have been successful and draw your own conclusions as to what makes them inviting and engaging for readers. It’s very important to do your own thinking in this. You will also benefit from thinking about what kind of writer you want to be besides successful because literary identity is important for writers. An MFA program can also help you discover your voice and practice good writing.
Some writers do self-publish in the beginning. I encourage you to explore the guidance available on the internet and even in books at your library on the subject of how to get from your spot right now to publication. There’s a great deal of info that many writers even offer.
I’m happy for you that you’ve hatched this dream. It’s sure to be a worthwhile journey.
