What field did you go into and were you able to find a job soon after finishing college?
I am in thenth grade looking towards the future. I am intrested in going into the medical field.

I entered the Healthcare field, and I was able to secure a position very quickly. The Healthcare field is always needed, they won't downsize staffing due to the economy. You will never stop learning and growing. And you are helping people; you will make a difference in someone's life.

When I graduated with my degree in theatre, I moved to a city where there were a lot of opportunities for employment in that particular field of work. I was getting settled in but applying for positions that sounded good to me. It was the third job I applied for when I got the job in my field. It took probably four months. I also minored in social science and (many years later) got the first social service job I ever applied for. That provided me with a network and contacts and I was recommended by one of those contacts for my first full time permanent social service position.
It's always interesting to learn about other peoples' experiences but your journey will be different and unique to you. You have a wonderful interest as there are so many different opportunities for various careers in the medical field. On the website Medical Field Careers, you can read about the various Health Care Schools in your state and health care careers and what they estimate the pay is and which metropolitan areas in Minnesota have the most health care jobs.
