Hi Andre,

It's great to hear that you are considering to pursue your education as a working parent. It is hard to decipher on which schools are the best because everyone's opinion is different. It's up to you to decide on what college is best for you.

As an adult and working parent, you can consider online school because it can work with your hectic schedule. In addition, I would recommend that you contact 3-7 colleges and schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor to figure out on which college is suitable for you based on your needs and family life. For that reason, it's good to weigh your options and figure the pros and cons by looking into some colleges in tbe DC area.

Margie’s Answer

Although I don't live in your area, the fact that you are asking this question is a step in the right direction for your college career.  I was a non-traditional student and discovered the hard way that not all colleges are geared toward the working and family students.  Consider searching the colleges in your area, look for reviews or call/chat with someone directly and ask them about evening classes, online and support services for non traditional students.  Good luck!

Margie recommends the following next steps:

Reach out to colleges and ask this same question.
See if you can find some non-traditional students that attend these colleges and get their feedback.
