You have to have a good criminal record. You have to at least get your high school diploma, and college would be great. You also have to go through a credible law enforcement academy to get your license for the state to be able to be a police officer.

After you successfully pass the state exam you apply for open police positions.
Once you have successfully completed the academy, you have to take the state exam for your license.
Apply in a police academy
If college credit is needed get the requested hours.
Get your high school diploma
