First, don't be bummed. It is all in the way you prepare for tests. What helps is to pre-read/practice the material before the test. Make time to see your professor to get help before the test. If the class is difficult, see if there are any study groups in your class or student tutors depending on the subject. Sometimes it truly takes a village to pass a class in college.

Talk to your teacher or professor! Ask if they are willing to go over the test results with you in private. Maybe you understood the material, but the way you answered the questions didn't meet your teacher's expectations. Use this test as a learning opportunity to find out what you could work on or what you need to study more to get a better grade next time.
