Sean’s Answer

As a wheel vehicle mechanic there is no set time in the military. It all depends on what is going on and what type of units that you are attached to needs at that time. Without talking about the physical training in the morning aspect, training and other situations, most units aim for a 9 AM to 5 PM workload. But the military is more like salary base than it is by the hour, so you may work later if the job isn’t complete by the end of the day. But that is only talking about the active army National Guard and Reservist work differently.

Sean recommends the following next steps:

You can ask a recruiter, but that might not be their job so they will only know what their experience of watching them may be
You can go onto the Internet and look up for example goarmy.com for general more information

Martin’s Answer

Wheeled vehicle mechanics typically work around 40 hours per week. However, this can vary depending on the employer, workload, and specific job requirements. Some mechanics may work overtime or on weekends, especially if they are employed by organizations that require 24/7 maintenance support, such as the military or large transportation companies.
