Weibo’s Answer

All the brand-name tech companies have a career page for students! For instance, https://careers.google.com/students, or https://careers.twitter.com/en/university.html. Just google "CompanyName Internship" and click the first link.

If you know an acquaintance who happens to work at one of these companies. You can ask them to refer you internally. This is called an internal referral and will get treated with higher priority.

Make sure to go to the career fairs at your university/college. I got my first internship offer through that!

The first internship is the hardest to land. Be patient and keep trying!

I recommend a great book on this topic: The Google Resume: How to Prepare for a Career and Land a Job at Apple, Microsoft, Google, Or Any Top Tech Company.

Weibo recommends the following next steps:

Prepare a resume that highlight your experience & skills
Practice technical phone screen skills
Work on side projects outside school which uses popular technology

Pratham’s Answer

Hi,

I would suggest you to firstly work on creating a resume for you with your skill sets mentioned. Secondly, create an account on professional networking sites like LinkedIN where you can try to connect to the professionals and look for internship opportunities.

Cheers!
