Hey Amarion,

Michelle hit the nail on the head with her advice about maintaining certifications. For architecture and welding, knowing when they expire and staying on top of renewals is key. If you’re going for welding, the certificate’s validity depends on the type, but keeping your skills sharp and getting those verification forms is a must. For architecture, it’s all about keeping up with your professional development units every couple of years—basically, continuing education to stay updated in the field.

For now, focus on the path to certification—whether it’s for architecture or welding, you’ll want to dive into the specific training programs and requirements that apply to Georgia or wherever you're based. Once you have your certificate, it’s like keeping your phone updated with the latest software—you don’t want to let it get outdated.

And remember, this isn’t just about ticking boxes! It’s about showing you’re staying sharp and in the know with whatever you're certified for. So as long as you keep up with the requirements, you’ll be golden. 🔥

Alright, so you’re wondering how to keep your certificates safe and how to grab one, right? If you are 🤪😏
1. Storing your certificates: Keep them in a safe spot like a folder, or even better, go digital. Scan them and save copies in a cloud (Google Drive or something) so you never lose ‘em. You don’t want them going missing, especially when you need them later.
2. Getting a certificate: Usually, it’s all about completing some course or program—whether it’s online or in-person. So, look up classes or training that give out certificates when you finish (could be a skill you’re into, like coding, or something more career-focused). Make sure you do the work, and boom, you get the cert! 😎

Just remember, to maintain most certifications, you'll need to renew them periodically by completing required continuing education or demonstrating your skills. For some fields, you may need to prove you've kept up with the standards or pass a refresher course. Generally, your certificate will have an expiration date, and you'll be notified when it’s time to renew. When you typically go to complete a training program or course in your field you will then pass a certification exam. Amarion just try to Check with local schools or certification bodies for the specific requirements in your area.

All the. Best hope this helped buddy! 🤗

Hello, Amarion !

As for maintaining Licensure for Architecture and Certifications for Welding in your state of Georgia, either you will be notified by your supervisor or the card will say when it expires. Architecture certifications will be indicated depending on what you get certified in.

You would renew the architecture License every two years in Georgia. Welding certificates in Georgia are to be renewed every six months for most types of certifications and every three months for some. You will learn about this when you train for welding since you do not have the certificate types at this present time. To renew or maintain your welding certification, get a maintenance form and have it signed by your supervisor, customer or someone that would verify that you've performed the specific welding skill.

In Georgia, you would need to be Licensed as an Architect and you would go for your license for it after college and after your internship, after you pass the Architect Registration Examination. You apply for your architect license with the Georgia State Board of Architects and Interior Designers. To maintain this License, you would take 24 units of what is called Professional Development Units. This is every two years in Georgia. Sixteen of these twenty four units have to be in Public Protection Subjects like Health, Safety, and Wellness. You'll know more about this through your educational path.

To get a Welding Certificate you would get 6 to 12 months training in a Welding Program at a vocational school, community college or at a trade school. Once you have experience, you then register for a certification test. Your state of Georgia does not give Welding Licenses but employers may want you to obtain national certification given by the AWS or the American Society of Mechanical Engineering.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best !
