Robert’s Answer
Hi Sabien,
Robotics is a field with great promise. Don’t forget to take artificial intelligence courses too. From my many years of being an electrical engineer in lots of different fields, I’d say that both math and physics are important. It all depends on which specialty you pick. As a research EE working with lasers, I actually needed calculus and math as much as I needed physics. But when working in manufacturing, I used little math, but much physics. While exploring job choices, make it a point to talk with engineers already in that specialty. They can give you the answers you seek.
Enjoy your career!

Eissa’s Answer
Both math and physics are very important for electrical engineering because ,Mathematics serves as a primary foundation for interacting with machines, especially considering that a machine's language consists of 0s and 1s. Therefore, understanding mathematics and the methods of conversion between number systems is crucial for enabling communication with robots. Moreover, mathematical thinking significantly develops your mental and logical abilities, which greatly contribute to working with machines.
Physics is also vital for grasping fundamental mechanical principles like motion and dynamics, as well as electrical physics, which is also very important. Furthermore, what greatly assists you in the field of robotics is learning programming languages that are based on mathematics and logical thinking, as we mentioned. Lastly, having some knowledge of 3D design software like SOLIDWORKS is also beneficial.
I hope this advice is helpful and I hope you achieve your goals.
