Going into dental hygiene. Not envisioning an overly luxurious lifestyle, but a comfortable and worry-free one atleast. And, I know being comfortable in this economy is hard anyway.

Dental hygiene can be a rewarding and stable career. Here are some factors to consider:
Job Outlook
1. Growing demand: The demand for dental hygienists is expected to grow due to an ageing population and increased focus on oral health.
2. Job security: Dental hygiene is a stable profession with opportunities for employment in various settings, including private practices, clinics, and community health organizations.
It offers competitive salaries depending on location, experience, and employer. Additionally, many dental hygiene positions offer benefits, such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.
In terms of work-life balance dental hygienists can have the privilege of the following;
1. Flexibility: Dental hygienists may have flexible scheduling options, including part-time or full-time positions, which can help achieve a better work-life balance.
2. Autonomy: As a dental hygienist, you'll have the opportunity to work independently and make decisions about patient care.
Overall, location, education and training, and continuing education are major factors to consider in consideration of this pathway.
Finally, dental hygiene can be a fulfilling and stable career that supports a comfortable lifestyle, but it's crucial to research and understand the specific demands and opportunities in your area.

I think dental hygiene is great especially with the great shortage! With that in mind, your salary will be sufficient for your future. A dental hygienist schedule isn’t as overwhelming as a dentist, ortho, etc. You can mostly find an 8-5 job as that’s how a long a dental office will be open. Part time is available too. You also won’t be working holidays and long weekends so that’s a plus if you’re going to have kids.
