I made a resume and I'm applying for a job in babysitting, what should I add?
I wrote my resume to be generally applicable, should I tweak it for specifics?

Add some details to make your profile stand out. If you've taken CPR or any child-related courses, mention them. Also, let people know if you're open to doing more than just babysitting, like light cleaning or helping with pick-ups and drop-offs. If you're interested in a career in early or special education, share your future goals.

Hello Riley!
Yes, definitely tweak it a bit for babysitting! Add any childcare experience (even with family), highlight soft skills like patience and responsibility, and mention safety training if you have it. A short, child-focused summary helps too. Small changes can make a big difference, You're on the right track!

As a parent, I think it's great to mention any babysitting experience you have. Be sure to include the ages of children you've looked after or are willing to care for. If you have any certifications like CPR, definitely add those too. It's also helpful to note if you have reliable transportation, a driver's license, and the areas you're able to travel to. I hope this advice helps you!
Look at local babysitting jobs first, words of mouth through family or friends etc.

In addition to the great advice above, make sure you add some interesting things about yourself as well, even if unrelated to babysitting or kids (e.g. you love reading books, hiking in nature, funny cat YouTube videos). As much as a parent wants your skillset and expertise, they also want to know you as a person. This will make them feel more comfortable being with their children the more familiar with you they are. Also, always be honest - it's the greatest attribute anyone can have.
