DENNIS’s Answer
Hi William: I have been a lawyer for over 40 years. I love it. It's not the money, I made a lot and spent even more, it's not the grind. It's the satisfaction you get for helping people in spots. No matter what area of the law you choose, it is always connected with a person. End of the day, you are helping someone in need. Plus, you are constantly learning, constanly challenged.
Is it stressful? You bet it is! Many many lawyers can not take that stress. However, if you learn to balance and keep itr in check the rewards outweigh the negatives by a wide margin. You have to look into yourself. As I always tell young lawyers, someone hires you for your mind and your heart. They go hand in hand.
Good luck. Follow the path that is right for you!
