Healthcare related career is always in demand. Nothing can replace it. There are different levels of nursing courses offered and it would be better that you explore them before choosing what you would like to do. I follow "Learning never stops". That means, you have to update yourself even after graduation.

Elisa’s Answer

I would advise you to get the bachelor's degree. A lot of employers want this degree. Many older nurses are being forced to get the degree or they will lose their jobs. It does pay higher. It will be well worth it.

I think the answer depends on your goals and location! You can get an associates or bachelors in nursing and then decide if you want to further your education (such as Nurse Practitioner after bachelor). If you have a community college near you that has a good nursing program, you can look into it if cost is a concern for you. Based on what I have seen online, as long as you get certification, the pay is pretty similar whether you get Bachelors or Associates (BUT may depend on your city/state). Definitely research online about different nursing programs before you decide where you plan to study and work. It all depends on your needs, options, and future plans.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a nurse but I have a bit of knowledge from research.

Aaron’s Answer

Depends on how far you want to go. For a CMA, it is simply a certificate course that is a few weeks. RN programs are two years. RN BSN programs are typically 2-4 years (yes they can vary like that). But as mentioned in other answers, it depends on how far you want to go!
