what does it take to be a teacher ?

I have want to be a teacher; I want to inspire kids every day and help them learn the secrets of the world, whether it be me telling them or guiding them to find the answer themselves; but teaching, as I understand, is a hard business to exist in with budget cuts, and a limited job market. In reality I just want to know if I have the qualities that a teacher needs, and if someone says I don't, then I'll still become a teacher either way, because the thought of waking up everyday and leading kids to their light bulb moment is what I strive for.

Thank you for your question, and it is a great question!! In order to be an effective teacher is patience, alot of patience. You have to be creative, you will have to have methods that will motivate and inspire your students that education is important!! As a Teacher, you will be a parent, nurse, socialworker, mediator, and advocate. Thanks again for your question!!
