If I'm not sure which area of health sciences I would like to study, should I enroll in exploratory?
I'm interested in optometry, however I don't have much experience in the health sciences field and I was wondering if there might be a better fit for me.

I'm not entirely sure about your question, but it seems like you're thinking about majoring in "Exploratory Studies in Health Sciences" in college. I had to look it up since it wasn't available when I went to school. It seems like a great choice if you're interested in healthcare but aren't sure about your specific interests and strengths yet.
If you're still considering optometry school, just make sure that the courses for this major also cover some of the classes you'll need for optometry school admission.
It's completely normal to have a few career options in mind as a young adult. You still have time to figure it all out!
See if you are able to shadow some health care professionals, including an optometrist. You would have to organize this yourself if there is not a formal program at your high school.
