How long did it take for you to find a job in the ultrasound tech?

Was it hard finding a job or easy?

Hello! Personally - it was easy.

It's been a couple of years, but it might have taken around 1-2 months from when I started applying to places to when I received a job offer. It's even faster if you're offered a job at your sonography internship site (I was from out-of-state, so I didn't want to work at mine). However, please keep in mind that this may depend on what city/state you're in. Some areas have more or less ultrasound/sonographer job opportunities - to see what's available any time, you can search online for "ultrasound tech jobs near me."

Easy vs hard- This goes for any job, but some hospitals & clinics are more/less willing to hiring people fresh out of school, and some might have more difficult interviews than others. For example, when I was hired I don't think any of the interview questions were too difficult, & I wasn't asked to scan anyone (involved in some interviews). However, another new ultrasound tech I worked with said she didn't get a job because when they had her scan an employee there, they asked her to use a technique that she didn't know at the time.

Good luck!
