How many classes should I take per semester as a biomedical science major?

My field of study requires 120 credit hours to graduate with a bachelors. I took some college courses during my high school years, which should shave at least six credit hours off. While I do start taking classes over the summer, I do not want that to be the case throughout my years in college. Are there any other resources that I should utilize before finalizing my workload?

Plan for up to one year ahead, covering two semesters and one summer. As a freshman in a semester system, begin with four foundational or required classes per semester, totaling 12-15 units. Take some summer classes in your freshman and sophomore years to reach 27-30 credits in your first year. In the last two years, consider taking the summer off for travel, an internship, or a part-time job.
