How do I make the right choices when there is peer pressure?

I don't want to be pressured to do anything but what happens if I am tempted to do something I may regret? #peer #pressure

This is a really good question! I found that the buddy system worked for me. I would go to activities with a good friend. I would make sure they knew up front what I was or was not willing to do. So, for example, let's say I met someone at the party, and we decided to leave and go someplace else. She would be my "mom" voice telling me not to do it. And I would do the same for her.


I also had in the back of my mind the idea that one little mistake could ruin me for life, especially as it came to things like drugs, alcohol, or getting pregnant. To me, it just seemed crazy to be so success-focused yet to take those kinds of chances.


You sound like a very mature person to be thinking about this now, so, I really think you will do fine!
