What are some things I can do as a sophomore in high school that would help me to become a registered nurse in the future?

I am unclear on what type of classes and steps I need to take to achieve this just looking for some help.

Hi Harper, as a sophomore in high school, it's great to focus on your math and science classes. Try to take any biology, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, or health-related classes you can. You might also want to look into getting CPR certified and see if you can volunteer at a local hospital.

I am a Junior in high school and wanted to pursue nursing as well, the biggest thing in my opinion would be to try and take as much college basics as you can in high school, whether it's through your school or through an actual college when I was planning on going to nursing school I signed up for comp 1 so other classes like comp 2, pre-calculus and calculus if you can and even history classes would help, basics can take up a lot of time during the first half of college so it would be a good idea to go ahead and take some of the basics and take the tests so you don't have to in college so your able to get to the actual nursing part faster, another good class to take while you're still in high school would be AP psychology. Another thing is to work on being a good studier, studying is such a huge thing with medical school setting up a reward system would help, even eating something sweet while studying has proven to help but one thing I wouldn't do is get on electronics even during breaks of studying because it can mess it up. The last thing I will look into is trade schools that you can take during high school if your school offers it, where I live there are tech schools that have nursing programs while it won't give me an actual license, it will give me certifications that can help speed up the college process but not all tech or trade school ae able to transfer to every college or university so I would make sure it does for your specific schools.
