What is something that made you realize it was worth the hard work, time, and financial costs?

For me it was perspective. When doing my arts degree (Culture, Lit, and the Arts), I was mainly doing my degree for the literature portion because at the time I wanted to be an instructor. But near the end of my degree I focused a lot more on the culture and arts portion of my degree. When I did switch my focus and going to different classes from the typical literature classes, it shifted my perspective as life as a whole. Now I was learning about different cultures, homelessness, and all about music and how it functions in society. Solely because of broadening my perspective of things made the degree worth getting for me at least.
