Does an internship have to be labeled an internship in the job description to count?

Like for instance you have a job in the field you are getting a degree in, will that job count towards the internship if it isn't labeled an intership?

Working in the field you want to enter is essentially what an internship provides—even if your role isn’t labeled that way. What matters most is the experience you’re gaining. Future employers will value that you’ve already spent time learning and working in the field.

Be sure to present the role clearly on your resume and talk about what you’ve learned in interviews. That’s exactly what employers look for when they ask about internship experience. Focus less on the title and more on the skills and knowledge you’re building to prepare for your next step.
