What are some words of wisdom for a women to enter a man dominated field ?
I am currently a senior in high school who is going to a the Universal Technical Institution and is going into the Automotive Program. I want to own my own auto shop and I am asking for some words of wisdom I and any tips of how to get their and have the best experience possible.

I don't think I am well qualified to answer this question but I think I have an idea that might help.
Show you love what you do. Run your shop the way you want, do all of the things you want to do. On your time: race cars, go to car shows, post about cars (blog and social media), and build custom builds. If you can make it look like you are supposed to be living in a garage, likely people will get over any preconceived notions they have about women working in car shops.
Other than that, stick to what you say and do. Be firm on your expertise, be firm on your opinions, be firm on who you are and what you do. I really think you can make it in that field, I think there are just some old opinions people may have and you will just be there to prove them wrong!
