Hi Dakota, interesting question. I’ve not heard the 2 combined! Of course you can learn both crafts. But I do have to ask this- why? Both are a strong investment in time. What are you gaining by learning both? Either is a strong career choice, but both are equally challenging, expensive and require experience to move forward. You may want to apprentice in either or both and see if either are a good fit. I know there’s so much out in the world to learn! Focus on your passion- and chase your dreams.
Thank you comment icon I am interested in both because I am still deciding if I want to be a Traveling Chef or an Underwater welder. I am in Job Corps and they offer welding and culinary arts. I am having to do the scuba diving for underwater welding on my own. The main reason why I picked both is because if I am certified in both I have better chances on getting a job. I am thankful for your advice and thank you for replying to my question. Dakota
