Simeon’s Answer

You could prepare by taking advanced math courses, but I'd recommend getting your hands on architecture design software and practice building concepts. See if there is a design competition that you can participate in and submit entries. Some of these might even be part of a scholarship program if you're lucky. Most of your architecture work will involve the latest software someday, so the earlier you become familiar, the better. If there are any architecture networking events, I'd recommend attending them.

Rachel’s Answer

Karynne,

Classes that will help you that I wish I had taken in high school were physics and calculus. Autocad and architecture courses that are offered in high school were a great basis for me. Also if your school offers structures, that would also be great to have a basic knowledge of.
