As an electrician who has worked side-by-side with masons for many years, I can tell you it's a brutal job. Masons often start out as mason-tenders, supplying them with the materials they need to do their work. It is very physically demanding, and is rough on the body.

My pay is $34 dollars an hour with a good pension plan and a 401k program. We also have company paid health dental and vision insurance.

Im in the bricklaying union.its hard work not for the lazy or type of person who dosnt like to get dirty or the odd injury/scrape now and again.Very demanding when your job has to be finished b4 time.But a good trade,decent pay &benifets.its all about sticking at it when u hate it most.
